One Restaurant, Four Dining Experiences

Executive Chef Edward Reese harnesses a host of local culinary partners to bring their seasonal menus to life. From Cedar Key clams to Bay scallops and local oysters served three ways, a network of farmers, fishermen, and brewers keep the Franklin Café menus fresh, flavorful, and ready to be enjoyed in four unique settings.

Main Dining Room

A setting worthy of life’s special moments, our Main Dining Room is a beautifully updated nod to our rich history. Custom oyster quartz tables, dreamy palm wallpaper, and an elevated seasonal menu add modern twists, but native hard pine floors dating back to 1907 ensure that the spirit of the original Franklin Café never fades.

Parlor Bar

The Parlor Bar has served as Apalachicola’s preferred local watering hole since it opened in 1907. Take a step back in time to experience the Florida of yesteryear. With a craft cocktail, locally brewed beer, or artisanal wine in hand, sink into a cozy leather barstool or head to the wrap-around porch to stake your claim to a rocking chair and savor the moment.

Wrap-Around Porch

Score a front row seat to the sights and sounds of historic Apalachicola on the Gibson Inn’s wrap-around porch and enjoy the area’s finest alfresco dining experience.

Brick Patio

Reclaimed bricks from the turn of the century set the stage for lingering over lunch in the Florida sunshine by day and dining under the stars and twinkling lights by night. Either way, it’s a picture-perfect backdrop framed by palms and priceless views.
